Richard Bingham, VP of Product Development & Marketing for Gloabl Power Technologies (which includes Dranetz-BMI, Electrotek Concepts, and Daytronic Corporation) received the prestigious 2007 John Mungenast International Power Quality Award at the recent Electric West Show held in Las Vegas, NV. Initiated in 1994, there have been only 14 such awards given out to those individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the power quality field. There could not be a better represntative of those qualifications than our very own Richard P. Bingham who has been an employee of Dranetz-BMI going on 31 years, joining the company out of college and holding a multitude of positions from project engineer, chief technolgist, VP of Engineering and VP of Strategic Planning to his current position and duties heading up the marketing and new prodcut development. He has authored more than 20 papers, over 150 articles, taught almost 100 seminars, developed numerous products for Dranetz-BMI, holds a patent and continues to spread the word and his knowledge on power quality throughout the country through participation in numerous IEEE & NFPA committees. He is in good company as past honorees included the founder of Dranetz-BMI, Abe Dranetz, winner of this award in 2002.
